Emotional Body Workshop

Emotional Body is a one-day creative dance workshop led by choreographer Cosmin Manolescu from Romania focusing on awakening the emotional body. Previously offered in Tokyo, Riga, Luxembourg, Porto, Timisoara and Bucharest, Cosmin Manolescu brings Seattle an experimental workshop in which the participants will be able to (re)discover the body and open their heart using yoga and massage technique, movement and closed-eye dance sessions, touch exploration and contact-improvisation as key elements of the work. The workshop is offered free of charge (thanks to generous sponsors) to Seattle performers, dance students, contact-improvisation lovers and others interested to learn and experience more about their body and contemporary dance.

The first of two performances which will plunge you into the process of making an interactive dance piece as a dance-maker. Be a part of deciding how the show will go, what risks will be taken and then see these play out in part II.

The second and final interactive performance which will start out as a party and grow to include the elements that were decided in part one. Be a part of this immersive experience and enjoy being on the cutting edge of the creative process.
